I’ve recently taken to Twitter, something I tried before but was unable to say anything meaningful in so few words. I still don’t but I do find other people passing on interesting things that I wouldn’t otherwise have heard of. This week I saw strange Yemeni trees and heard of a 6 month-long storm in Venezuela.
Today I heard that the Soil Association (supported by Duchy Originals and the Organic Research Centre) are having an innovation competition and the ‘bee brick’ is one of three short-listed innovations.
The bee brick is designed by a Cornish firm to be used in buildings to offer a habitat for solitary bees such as masonry bees (left). Please have a look – I think it’s a great idea!
Voting closes on Friday 21st November.
